I highly recommend it. ام وابنها الطفل book throws light on the barbaric culture in Afghanistan that glorifies the torture unleashed on women for the pleasure of men. It was meant to be the story of a woman seperated from her beloved son and trying to find him again.

The outcome, is not a fairytale ending and there is no closure I love all of Jean Sassons ام وابنها الطفل and this was very emotional for me to read about her suffering and about her stolen child and how disgusting the men are towards women when things dont go their way,and that even her own son would turn against her.
I did learn a few new things about Afghan history and culture from reading this book. This was not what was advertised, ام وابنها الطفل. After reading this book the first thing i did was give my mother a massive hug as really mothers are the most treasured gifts god has given us. Their ام وابنها الطفل and tendency to make the wrong decisions despite knowing better was sickening, adding to the feeling that this cannot possibly be a true story.
Afghan women really suffer for their children and their freedom. Despite her education and relatively priveledged life she is victim of tribal traditions and is subjected to abuse.
